Payment Policy

This Payment Policy explains how payments are accepted and processed for purchases made on dermready.com (“Dermready,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By placing an order, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms and Privacy Policy.

1) Accepted Payment Methods

  • Credit & debit cards via Stripe. Major cards (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) are accepted subject to issuer participation.

  • Pay over time with Klarna. Financing and pay-in-installments options are offered at checkout, subject to approval by Klarna.

  • Apple Pay. Available on compatible Apple devices with Apple Pay enabled.

  • Google Pay. Available on compatible devices/browsers with Google Pay enabled.

Availability of specific methods may vary by order value, device, location, and risk checks.

2) How Payments Are Processed (Stripe)

  • Payments are securely processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS–compliant payment processor.

  • Card details are transmitted directly to Stripe; Dermready does not store full card numbers or CVV codes.

  • For security and regulatory reasons, Stripe may require 3D Secure (SCA) or similar authentication.

  • We may run address (AVS) and CVV checks and decline or cancel orders that fail verification.

3) Authorization & When You’re Charged

  • Most orders are authorized at checkout and captured (charged) when your order is confirmed for fulfillment.

  • For partial shipments, we capture only the amount corresponding to items that ship.

  • If an authorization fails or expires before capture, the order may be paused or canceled until a valid payment is obtained.

4) Paying Over Time with Klarna

  • Klarna financing and installment plans are separate credit agreements between you and Klarna. Approval, schedules, interest, and fees are determined by Klarna, not Dermready.

  • When an order is refunded, Klarna adjusts your repayment schedule or issues a refund to your original Klarna payment method.

  • Questions about approvals, due dates, late fees, or account changes should be directed to Klarna Support.

5) Apple Pay & Google Pay

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay use device-level authentication (e.g., Face ID/Touch ID/Passcode).

  • The underlying card is processed by Stripe. Refunds return to that underlying card through Apple Pay/Google Pay.

  • Ensure your wallet billing, shipping, and email details are accurate to avoid delays.

6) Prices, Currency, Taxes & Fees

  • All prices are shown and charged in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise at checkout.

  • Applicable sales taxes are calculated based on the shipping address and displayed at checkout.

  • If your card/provider operates in another currency, your bank may apply foreign exchange and bank fees.

7) Order Review, Fraud Screening & Cancellations

  • We use automated and manual fraud screening. We may request additional identity or payment verification.

  • Dermready may cancel or refuse any order (e.g., suspected fraud, pricing/stock errors, policy violations). Any captured funds for canceled orders are released or refunded to the original payment method.

8) Refunds & Returns (Payment Handling)

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method only.

  • Refund posting times vary by provider: cards and wallets typically 5–10 business days after we process the refund; Klarna schedules are adjusted by Klarna.

  • Shipping, handling, and certain fees may be non-refundable unless required by law. See our Returns/Refunds Policy for conditions and timelines.

9) Billing Information & Payment Issues

  • Provide accurate billing and contact information. Inaccurate details can cause declines, delays, or cancellation.

  • If a payment is declined, update the method or choose another option at checkout. We cannot release orders without valid payment.

10) Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

  • If there’s an issue with your order, contact Dermready first so we can investigate and resolve quickly.

  • Initiating a chargeback before contacting us can prolong resolution. Dermready reserves the right to limit or close accounts linked to abusive or excessive disputes.

11) Errors & Corrections

  • If a pricing, promotion, or availability error is identified, we may cancel the order or contact you to confirm how you wish to proceed. Any captured funds will be released or refunded if an order is canceled.

12) Security & Privacy

  • We use HTTPS and Stripe’s tokenization to protect payment data.

  • Payment information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Stripe/Klarna/Apple Pay/Google Pay policies.

13) Updates to This Policy

  • We may update this Payment Policy periodically. Changes apply to purchases made after the updated effective date posted here.
